Chris Giordano

Gold Standard Basketball Training was opened in June 2020 by Coach Chris Giordano. Coach Giordano has been a collegiate coach for over a decade, serving as the Head Men's Basketball Coach for Lesley University in Cambridge, MA for four of those years. He has also been an assistant at Rivier University and Tufts University. In his career, Coach Giordano has led teams who have broken single season wins records at two different division III institutions, Rivier and Lesley. Coach G's philosophy rests on toughness, togetherness and dedication to the fundamentals. At the collegiate level, Coach Giordano has developed players who have garnered all types of awards including multiple 1000 point scorers, All Conference players, Conference Rookie of the Year and multiple All New England players of the Month. In addition, he has coached with the Middlesex Magic for the past 12 years, where he has been part of numerous championships, including 4 straight Hoop Group Summer League titles. Most recently, he helped the 17u and 16u Magic boys teams capture the Under Armour Association Spring Championships. He has also helped develop players who have gone to play Professionally as well as at the Division I, II and III levels. Coach Giordano, who has a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, has written the curriculums for Gold Standard's Skills Academies, Development Leagues, Skills Clinics and Summer Camps. Most importantly, Coach G has helped his players transition their individual skill development to winning within the team concept.
