MENTOR PROGRAM
In an effort to continue to help kids with Gold Standard's trademark high quality instruction beyond the court, the Gold Standard Mentor Program was born. It is our mission to teach life succes beyond basketball and beyond the athlete to ensure those lessons help equip the person with the skills necessary to navigate through the complexities of life on and off the court.
These weekly meetings in leadership equip our youth with the skills to make the right choices, respond to adversity, be great teammates, forge an inclusive environment and true team.
This is a small piece of what Coach Suubi brought to the table. It’s about the person beyond the player.
Our mentor program will be available this winter virtually and both virtually and in person during the spring of 2027!

Coach Suubi Nkugwa
Coach Suubi Nkugwa is a graduate of Worcester State, where he played on the mens basketball team and won two MASCAC Championships. Suubi is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach at Chelmsford High School and coaches for the Middlesex Magic during the spring and fall seasons!
